Mike Fraser
As a former recording engineer myself, what a treat it was to work with industry legend Mike Fraser. Having mixed the last six AC/DC albums and worked with a veritable Whos' Who of rock royalty from Aerosmith to Van Halen (with lots of stops in between!), the experience he has amassed over the course of his career is truly remarkable.
I had a pre-production meeting with Mike at the very beginning of this project that was a huge confidence booster for me. The fact that he took seriously what I had in mind helped shut up the very loud voice of doubt I had in my head. We only got to work together on Turn of the Cards (he's a busy guy!) and I will admit to feeling a little intimidated and hesitant to propose changes to his mix but he very graciously encouraged my input and made sure I was happy with the end result. One more item on my bucket list checked!
